Pegan Hill Farm: Dover , MA
This wonderful old stone and brick farmhouse had a 1960s-era great room that felt very asymmetrical and unusable. Its drywall finish, triangular windows and exposed HVAC systems were unwelcoming. We took the opportunity to redesign the room as a cathedral space, with large arched windows, a new stone fireplace, and wood ceiling. At the kitchen, facing a blue stone patio, we added a brick wall with arches to match the structure and included three handcrafted steel doors to create a seamless relationship to the wonderful grounds beyond.
