An accessory building on a wonderful estate, the barn sits opposite a large pond ideal for rowing on. This stone and wood barn is centered on pier creating a strong synergy between land and water.  Held back fifty feet from the water’s edge, the barn spatially creates an outdoor court that is enlivened by the barns inviting nature and program. With its large sliding doors the barn is able to open up almost half of the facade to the outdoors to provide peaks of the over scaled full wall granite fireplace within that is used for entertaining.
