Following on the heels of winning the commission for a new science building n Philadelphia, JLa set out to create a building that would advance the science and technology curriculum and serve as a teaching tool for the students, visitors and local community. 

Not to overwhelm the campus with what can be a potentially a bulky building type but rather break down its component parts without compromising the efficiency of the building layout. The new science building was designed and situated to compliment the original turn of the century Inn Building circa 1883
