Spectacle and Serenity

Most bathrooms are organized around their perimeter, with the tub, shower, vanity, and WC occupying separate positions along the surrounding walls. This design reimagines the bathroom as a singular, sculptural space. At its center, a glass-enclosed shower becomes the architectural focal point, rising beneath an eight-foot-wide skylight that mirrors its footprint and draws natural light deep into the room. The deliberate alignment of glass and sky creates a quiet connection between the interior and the elements beyond.

The tub, vanity, and WC recede into the background, allowing the architecture itself to take precedence. Through restraint, proportion, and the interplay of light, transparency, and material, the bathroom becomes less a collection of fixtures and more a place of ritual and retreat—a serene, almost Zen-like environment where the everyday is elevated into an experience of stillness.
